There is something that every player does that is putting themselves at risk of injuries
They do it every day, often for hours a day
And that is be glued to their phones
The big thing that worries me about it is the position they put their upper body in
Head forward, upper back and shoulders rounded
It’s a recipe for disaster
The amount of work we have to do on thoracic and cervical mobility is in a large part to try and cancel out the damage done by staring at the phone all day
The picture attached shows exactly how damaging it can be
Its amazing how we can do 45 mins worth of ball release work and mobility, then the first thing youll see a player do after is slouch on their phone
Try to get in a better position when using yours
Lye on your front, or bring your hand toward your face rather than drop your neck
If you suffer stiff necks or headaches a lot then have a look how long you’re on the phone
It could make a big difference to your health and performance
If you need more help on how to ‘straighten’ yourself out then we have a extensive exercise library in our membership area
Logged and put into different categories for your ease
And you get put into the facebook group where a lot of magic happens
Sounds like your sort of thing? Join up here https://www.cricketstrength.com/inner-circle
Lets change our thinking
And get away from the phone
